Hi, I'm Paul. I'm a carpenter and joiner based in Southampton, and I've been working with wood for over 15 years. I live on a houseboat with my partner Leisha, who's an interior designer, and our son Otto.
Most of my work involves making bespoke kitchens, fitted wardrobes, storage and one-off furniture, but I'm always up for something a bit different. If it's made from wood, there's a good chance I can make it!
I love what I do, and there's nothing better than turning someone's idea into something they can enjoy in their home for years to come.

I love creating bespoke builds
The best part of my job is seeing someone's reaction when they see their finished piece for the first time. Especially when it turns out even better than they'd imagined.
I love making things from scratch, whether it's a kitchen, a piece of furniture or something completely different. I take pride in getting the little details right and making sure everything is built properly, looks great and lasts for years.
For me, it's about making something that really works for you and your home, without it costing the earth.
Furniture & Interior Design
If you've got an idea for a piece of furniture, I'd love to help bring it to life. Maybe you've seen something you like online, or you've got a picture in your head but can't quite find what you're looking for. That's where I come in.
And if you're not quite sure what you want, that's fine too!
I also work with my partner, Leisha Norman, who's an interior designer. She's great at coming up with ideas and making the most of tricky spaces. Between us, we can help with the design and then I can get on with making it.

It's all about wood
I work with all sorts of wood, and part of my job is helping you choose what's going to work best for what you're having made.
Some woods are better suited to certain jobs than others. For example, I often use beech for painted shaker-style doors because it's strong and gives a lovely smooth finish. For more modern furniture, I might suggest Medite, which is a good-quality, smooth board that's ideal for painting.
You don't need to know anything about wood before getting in touch. I'm always happy to talk through the options, explain what I'd recommend and help you decide.
I also really enjoy mixing wood with metal. Things like steel table legs, shelving and room dividers can look brilliant together. I can have the metal powder-coated in different colours too, so there's plenty of room to make something a bit different.
Based in Southampton
I'm based in Southampton and make bespoke kitchens, fitted furniture and all sorts of one-off pieces for homes and businesses.
Most of my work is around Southampton, Winchester, Hampshire and Dorset, but I'm always happy to travel a bit further for the right project.
I've even worked on a chalet renovation in France, so distance isn't necessarily a problem!
